OVHC and visa condition 8501
Condition 8501 requires adequate health insurance while you are in Australia. Check your visa grant letter and ask the insurer to confirm the specific product and evidence you need. A lower premium does not establish that a policy meets your visa conditions.
Health insurance for 485 and 482 visas
If you are planning cover for a Temporary Graduate 485 visa or a working visa such as 482, check the product’s eligibility and your required dates. When moving from OSHC, confirm when the old policy should end and the new cover should start before cancelling.
Visitor health insurance for parents and a 600 visa
For visiting parents or other subclass 600 visitors, request a quote using each person’s age, travel dates and visa conditions. Compare medical and hospital benefits, excesses and pre-existing condition terms. A single working-visa estimate may not apply to an older visitor.
